The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional, and they even went out of their way to ensure I paid the lowest price possible for my repairs. Best Customer Service around, easy to work with, Honest and got the job done in a reasonable time and price. I was a walk in (almost literally) and they offered me a ride while I waited, I thought I would wait to see what was wrong. In the short time I waited they had several customers come in and they gave every one of them a ride. The kind of customer service offered here is unusual in today’s world. I could write on and on about the service and price they provided, but I will end with just a big Thank You and I would Highly Recommended Automotive Shop!

It is easy to call and get an appointment. My experience so far is a very good one. When I have had to have something done besides oil changes, the repairs were done quickly and on target (no hidden costs or extra charges). I have been a customer for about 3 years now and no bad experiences at all. I have recommended to others and they are currently using them exclusively. Give them a try and you will be happy with the results.

I have been taking our vehicles to Smith Automotive for 3-4 years after a not so pleasant experience with another automotive shop. I believe Rusty, Bill and the crew are a rare find in the Des Moines area, honest, trustworthy and reliable! Would absolutely recommend Smith Automotive for all your car needs.

Great shop, I use them for 2 fleet vehicles I'm responsible for. They do good work and never any issues or surprises.

I brought my van in for engine diagnostic. They called a few days later to tell me I needed a new engine. That wasn't a surprise and I appreciated the diagnostic. I asked for a quote to replace the engine. After 10 days I still had no response so I picked up the van. They told me the owner was getting a quote together and would reach out to me soon. It's been 6 weeks. I got it done somewhere else. I probably won't go back.
